I really enjoy using coconut oil, both to eat and to slap on the skin. There are a number of books that talk about its various uses, including Bruce Fife's 'Coconut Cures' and 'The Coconut Miracle' and Cherie Calbom's 'The Coconut Diet'. 'Eat Fat, Lose Fat' by Mary Enig and Sally Fallon is also an interesting read.

Alas, coconut and aloe no longer supply the lovely coconut oil that they used to.
